Based in Barcelona, Khalify is a composer, sound artist, and performance maker whose practice explores the physical, material, and organic capacities of sound. Through the modification of elements such as rhythm and melody, his work proposes new perspectives that invite individual and subjective listening. Recurring themes in his practice include social and familial heritage, identity and its processes of growth, and perceptions of what we consider immovable.

Sound, for Khalify, becomes a living matter — a site of transformation, tension, and continual questioning. In his recent work, Khalify challenges traditional notions of musicality and form, treating acts of rupture, decay, and disintegration as compositional tools. Through this approach, destruction becomes an extension of performance — a way to expose the inner architecture of sound and to confront the listener with their own perceptual boundaries.
